FIRST REGULATED PROPERTY SEARCH SITE LAUNCHED
Propertylive.co.uk goes live in Dumbarton and Alexandria
The National Federation of Property Professionals (NFOPP) has launched the first web portal to guarantee users that they will only deal with a qualified agent.
Propertylive.co.uk will be the only site to offer peace of mind, as consumers have a guarantee that they will be dealing with one of more than 13,000 accredited professionals.
PropertyLive.co.uk features both residential and commercial rental and sales properties from across the UK and overseas.
David Muir of David Muir Estate Agents said: “As we all know too well, the next few months promise to be very challenging, but there is some hope as there are more buyers entering the market in the local area.
“Sellers need to ensure that there property is marketed professionally by agents who have knowledge of their local market, but also access to a national database such as propertylive.co.uk.”
All agents have satisfied the high standards that membership demands to create the property search web site. With access to more than 13,000 agents, users will be able to reach local agents with specialist knowledge of the markets they operate in.
“As the only site that is run by accredited professionals, the portal will be unique in guaranteeing that any agent displaying a property is bound by strict codes of practice – this will ensure that the highest standards and professionalism is maintained,” explained David Muir.
Unlike many other portals, agents who are members of NAEA, ARLA, ICBA and NAVA will be able to give feedback to the site, to improve local awareness and ensure that it offers the best service to users.
Every agency in the country with a Principal, Partner, or Director NFOPP member will be invited to subscribe to upload properties. PropertyLive.co.uk will provide the most extensive selection of residential and commercial properties in the UK and overseas.
Aimed at people wanting to buy or rent properties, the site has been designed to improve the ways in which the property community can effectively communicate with their customers. PropertyLive.co.uk will also endeavour to link back to agents sites wherever possible and will provide a comprehensive online resource for consumers.

Selling your home is one thing, getting the best price is another. Achieving a result within a given timetable may also be an important consideration. The first step in selling is market appraisal. In their haste to obtain an instruction from you, other agents may provide you with an inaccurate and unrealistic valuation. All of our valuations are backed by experience of local market conditions and comparable reports, ensuring thorough appraisal with diligence & care.
3. BRANCH OFFICES LOCATED IN VERY PROMINENT POSITIONS
This means that anyone seriously looking to buy property in the area is likely to call into us. If your property is on our books then it will be offered to all of the prospective buyers, resulting in a quick sale and at the best price. We are open 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday and 10am to noon Saturday.

“I believe the house
buying and selling public deserves to have an independent and impartial body
that can listen to their complaints and provide financial
compensation if appropriate. I would urge sellers to find out
whether an Agent belongs to the Scheme before they decide to do business with
them. Any Agent that is in the Scheme can truly be said to be a “good
trader” – who has undertaken, not only to abide by a higher level Code, but
also to be judged by an independent third party if
a complaint is made and to abide by whatever that judgement is.”

Get the Asking Price Right
Get the Asking Price Right
A recent survey by WHICH? Showed that valuations can differ by up to 63 per cent on the same property. Don’t be flattered by a high valuation, be sceptical. Former estate agent Davis Davies says, ‘When an agent values your property, get him to show you details of comparable properties recently sold at that price. If he can’t, choose another agent.’
The golden rule is to aim for a competitive asking price. ‘The more competitive it is, the more interest you will have, and the more interest you have in your property, the better price you will sell for,’ explains Richard Hair, former President of the National Association of Estate Agents(NAEA).
‘Also, don’t tell agents what you think your property is worth until they’ve given their opinion,’ says Richard. ‘Otherwise they may quote a figure just above yours and then, once your property has been on their books for a week or so, simply reduce the price.’
